The lake is frozen over, still. There is snow covering it. No footprints, tracks. Nothing. Completely blank. Sun is bright. Sky is blue, with clouds hovering low to the ground. Cars are going down the road. Everything seems normal on campus. Grass coming through the snow. Trees are bare.

Nature Caressing Me
The earth below my feet grounded me. I was connected to the trees through the roots in the ground beneath my body. The wind brushing against my ears and skin, softly playing through my hair. It gave me a hug as it disintegrated me into air. The loud beauty of the rushing water could be heard from the lake nearby. No flowers around me, but I didn't mind. There were tall green trees instead. Only one bird could be heard. Hypnotized by its song, I followed and found a red jay. My eyes glued to it, until it flew away. If only I could perfectly explain how I see everything, but the words could only flow through the sensation of nature caressing me.
