Atypical Housewives
“Did I leave the garage door open?" Probably. Victoria sighed as she continued to scrub the bloodstained floor. Her wife would probably murder her as soon as they got home anyway. Victoria wouldn’t blame her, with the garage door and the rain coming down as hard as it was, Annabelle’s newly washed car would be splattered. At least no blood had spilled onto the light wood cabinets. They would be there all night if they had to clean that up.

Breaking 8 Years of Silence
I want to preface this by saying that I'm really not looking for "I'm sorry this happened to you" or "You're so strong" or whatever other supportive things people will say. I am simply sharing my story because there are so many young women out there that are silent - just as I was.

Him
Sophia woke up abruptly after tossing and turning and successfully rolling herself off the bed, crushing the remnants of last night’s takeout. Listening to the soft pounding of the music next door as she stared at the darkness above her, she briefly wondered if she’d ever have the energy to throw a party like the neighbors were again. She sat up groggily, shoving aside an empty bottle of cherry vodka and rubbing her tired eyes before focusing on the clock. It was only five o’clock in the morning. She hadn’t fallen asleep until after two. On the bright side, she’d slept more than she had the previous few nights. Maybe if she slept for five hours straight next time she would celebrate. Buy a bottle of fancy wine and a couple bags of Doritos.

Pioneer Village: A wonder hidden in small town Nebraska
Unless you know me personally, I'm going to guess that most of you reading this have no idea where Minden, Nebraska is. With a population of less than 3,000, and only a handful of good places to eat, it is often not on people's radar. However, this is where I was born and raised.

The Worst Good-Byes
The sky was slowly starting to turn dark, the occasional street lamp turning on to brighten the bland, grey streets. The grass was turning bright green as the last April snow melted, and the trees attempted to bud once again. The two friends stood in front of the house, quiet. The one’s car stood, running. The other friend remained on the sidewalk. They stared at each other silence, knowing what was coming next.

Adult Hobbies are Hard. Top Story - February 2022.
I've been out of school for nearly 5 years. Since then, I spend the majority of my time working, sleeping, cleaning, eating, and drinking. I watch TV (and way too much TikTok), I play with my dog, I play some video games, and pre-Covid I went out a lot.
