Short, fluffy hair atop a small prepubescent boy. Annoying, sarcastic comments flying out of his mouth in his whiny voice. A small, high-pitched giggle from the chubby kid I’d never met before beside him. “Knock it off,” I mutter, tossing a pillow in their general direction, accidentally hitting my brother’s future best friend.

Trauma Buried in the Woods
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. I had passed the neglected shack many times while hiking off-trail, but I never thought I'd be breaking into it. The darkness made no movement or commotion, so I risked breaking a window and lighting a candle inside. I sat for the first time in what felt like days, pulling off my mud-caked shoes. Scenes from earlier in the evening flashed through my mind.

Things I cried over this week
I'm a very emotional person. I cry at sad and happy movies, books, TikToks... you name it. I will cry over any little small thing sometimes, whether it's something that's just a small inconvenience or something that is truly sad.

Cerebral is taking advantage of the mentally ill
I used the telehealth service "Cerebral" for a year. In fact, I'm still on a very limited plan until my current discount is out. The only reason I'm still giving them any of my money is because I adore my care counselor.

I love doing laundry
Hear me out: I love doing the laundry. I like to keep a moderately clean home, but I hate a lot of the cleaning. I hate dusting, I think cleaning the kitchen is exhausting, and I hate dishes. I don't mind cleaning the bathroom. But I LOVE laundry.
