A letter to Donald Trump
What can I say that probably hasn’t been said before? Well, even the thought of writing to you is making me physically ill, to be honest, but even though I know you will probably never read this, I have to get all of this off my chest somehow, so here I go. I originally tried starting out with a sarcastic comment about your, erm, endeavours during your time in the presidency, given that so many people are still defending you with so much passion, so my first instinct was to say something funny about how in your commitment to showcase all the racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, bigotry, and downright fascism that’s been boiling under the surface in American society, you took method acting a bit too far. See, that’s where the mistake was, in trying to write as if any of this was funny, because you put so many people’s lives in danger since you first began your campaign, that it instantly turned my stomach when I got to the examples of your “method acting”.

Hey Trump, Did You Even Try Your Best?
Hey Trump, I’m wondering, did you even try your best? I’m not American... I know but I still have an opinion. This is my opinion: I don’t believe as the 45th president of the United States truly did your best at “making America great again.” No offence but it was never “great.” It’s a place that needs tons of work done for the people and from the people! The USA is a place that needs their government to love its country with more than socially “allowed” actions. Meaning the love and care theseAmericans were supposed to receive did not happen because in my eyes the president of the United States just does not care for the issues of his Americans. Am I wrong?

Donald Trump!
Growing up I never cared for politics. I mean, what do I care about the president? He’s not doing anything for me that would make me take interest in politics. I’m 36 and I’ve only voted once in my life. Good ole Bill Clinton was the president I voted for. I guess you can say I was democrat. If you’re from a democratic dominant state and young, you tend to follow what everyone else is doing and believing. Meaning, I was shaped in to a Democrat by my surroundings and the media. I believed what everyone else believes in reference to the political party. For me, my belief was always that Democrats are for the people and republicans are like old corporate men trying to run the country like a bootcamp. Being a minority from a poverty stricken neighborhood shaped me in to a Democratic point of view. Fast forward to 2016 elections and now I’m afraid of what just happened. President Donald Trump just got in the office and all I’m thinking is “it’s a wrap”. I had this fear because I heard the media talking about the things that Donald Trump was about and how Trump was very dangerous for this country. I had a genuine fear that Donald Trump was going to take everyone’s food stamp card and make the world come to an end. World was 3. Sounds silly, but being democrat, that was the type of thing I feared. What was weird was how the loss of government benefits was a fear to me even though I had never been on food stamps before. But it was still a thought that attacked me whenever I thought about Donald Trump. As 2019 rolled around we all heard the President’s echo of “FAKE NEWS”. That term never registered with me when I heard it. Even watching the news conferences and the president calling the media fake news did not make me think anything questionable about what he was saying. It didn’t matter to me. I thought “FAKE NEWS” was just another slogan for Trump to combat the media with. Then one day something clicked in me that changed everything. Remember I said I voted for Bill Clinton? I was proud of that vote. Mainly because of the scandal part. Nothing to do with politics. One day I told someone in a conversation that the last time I voted, it was for Bill Clinton and they brought to my attention one of his policies when it came to incarceration and the bad effect he had in low income communities. It really hit home for me because I was getting arrested more times than I’d like to myself in my early 20’s. Now I’m YouTube researching because I’m noticing the media’s antics. The way they word their conversations concerning Donald Trump. It was clear bias from what now seems to be a fusion of the media and the democrats. As I look around and see the way people think I noticed the majority think democrat for a number of reasons. One key player being our phones. You hear a notification on your phone and it’s several major news outlet reporting the same thing using the same language and point of view which is mostly democrat. This is where molding takes place for me. When you hear that notification and you glance at your phone for 3 seconds to read it you just received a piece of information with a point of view; A political one in this case. I believe it’s subconscious programming and we do the programming ourselves. Let’s face it, it’s hard to put our phones down, and when you do put it down you pick it right back up to see any screen notification updates. In summary, Donald Trump was not the president I wanted, but was the president we needed. A lot of things have been brought to light in politics that makes people pay attention now. Once your eyes become open how can you close them again?

Dear Mr. President: Just wanted to drop this note off to you for showing your spirit and your business acumen for the last four years. To be honest I did not really understand everything you said and done. You lead the country like one of your many businesses. It worked, but it didn't. Did you really have a consensus of all parties to do the things that were required of you or did you say "I am President Donald Trump and all must do what I want."
