The Love That Saved Me
I was sinking into shadows,
With no place left to go,
My heart was worn and fragile,
My hope was running thin.
Your voice reached the quiet,
Your hands pulled me from fear,
You gave me room to breathe,
When breathing felt too hard.
You lifted all my pieces,
You held them one by one,
You did not shy from breaking,
You did not turn away.
Your love grew like a lantern,
Lighting all my darkest roads,
It led me through the silence,
It guided me toward peace.
My heart found strength again,
My thoughts learned how to rest,
Your presence shaped a calm,
I never thought was mine.
You stayed when storms rose high,
You stayed when days fell flat,
You stayed through all my shaking,
And steadied every hour.
I stand with a new spirit,
No longer lost in pain,
Because you saw the truth,
Hidden under all my scars.
Whatever life may bring,
Whatever time may change,
Know this love you gave me,
Will never fade away.

I've been writing poetry since the age of 10. With pen in hand, I wander the realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture you ❤️#Marie381UkWrites

I am guessing you are kind of describing your Bill. Good job.
