In 2012 I resigned after almost 8 years as a Juvenile Probation Officer in Pima County. It broke my heart to turn in my badge and kevlar. I still remember turning it in a month before I left, and going back to my office with tears in my eyes. I loved my coworkers, my job but it was something I had to do for me.
