Forgotten Quests: The "Other" PS2 RPGs
Hello, and welcome back to Silver Linings where I've leveled up in my quest for the maligned, forgotten, and ignored. I'm a huge RPG nerd. In fact, I've already done three articles spotlighting RPGs on the original Playstation, the original Xbox, and the Sega Saturn that either didn't get enough attention at the time or have been largely left behind by history. Now, it's time to do the same for the console named as one of the greatest ever... the Playstation 2.

What if FFVII was a "remaster" rather than a "remake"
First, I like Final Fantasy VII Remake, it is an excellent game that attracted both newcomers and old gamers (like me). Actually it was one of the most nostalgic thing happen to the gaming industry in the last recent years. It also has one of the most beautiful graphics when compared to other top AAA games. It might have some issues, in the other hand, it solved some of the problems that can be found in the current JRPG games, specially the ones that have real-time battle system such as Final Fantasy XV. One of those is battle. It introduced a new battle system that merge between turn-based and real-time combat, which was really welcomed by most of the fans (although some still wished turn-based system to come back, again like me). It also introduced side quest system (though, they are lengthy, I will talk about that later), but it "somehow" an extra part of the game which was "in most of its parts" enjoyable. It also introduced a new materia and weapon upgrade system, which added a way for the player to build different strategies for battles. But that are just few aspects, major ones actually, the rest are .. well.. felt normal, and sometimes weird.

Does Fallout 76's 'Wastelanders update' Save The Game? ~ My First Experiences And Thoughts.
Fallout 76, even before its release date, was the subject of ridicule and disappointment from many long-time fans. But you didn't need me to tell you that, did you? No. I'm sure you've already heard about the game, its clunky building that crashes more often than it works, the damn near empty areas just leaving the player bored, and of course the *shivers* microtransactions. I'd say it’s a pretty fair assumption that there were more people disappointed with fallout 76 than there were left happy.

'Final Fantasy 13' - Lightning Strikes Down the Middle
Hello, and welcome back to Second Chances where my focus is fighting for the maligned, forgotten, and ignored. Final Fantasy fever has reignited more than it has in years thanks to the phenomenal success of the long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake. I'm playing it myself, and, even though it'll never take the spot on my favorite games list away from the original version on the original Playstation, it is still a great reimagining of the first major part of Cloud's story. I've been a fan of the Final Fantasy franchise long before it was considered cool to be one. I own all the major installments of the franchise and even a good number of the spin-offs. Even though I've only finished a few of them (since I tend to jump among different games), I've enjoyed them all. You know one of the ones I HAVE finished? The much-derided Final Fantasy XIII.

Five Reasons why the Deus Ex Franchise needs to make a comeback
Sci-fi escapism certainly has its popularity while we’re all self-isolating. Over the last couple of weeks, I played through Deus Ex: Mankind Divided after missing out on it in 2016. After learning how the series was put on ice in 2017 due to disappointing sales, I couldn’t help but feel let-down. Four years on from its release and we haven’t heard much from the once revered franchise. While Deus Ex: The Fall took the crown for the worst of the series, Mankind Divided was a polarising title that boasted excellent design and miserable marketing in equal measure. There’s been no sign of a return to Deus Ex as of 2020, but here are my five reasons why it needs to make a comeback.

Which Classes Should Be Included In Diablo IV
Diablo has brought us some great classes over the years. For Blizzard Entertainment's Diablo III, the designers intended that each class correspond to a classical fantasy archetype. Blizzard wanted to do new classes as much as possible, or at least, do new twists on former archetypes. The class design intended that there be 3 to 5 iconic skills for each class.

Diablo IV: First 2020 Update
Back when Diablo IV was first announced, Blizzard promised quarterly updates on the progress being made. The first of these updates came on 26th February 2020, and its only driven excitement for the game right back up. A Defense of Rangers in D&D 5e
I love Dungeons and Dragons, it's my favorite hobby and I play every week. For over a year now, I've been playing in a great campaign with my closest friends, and I am... a ranger. I know, I know, how dare I? I am aware that, to be honest, rangers are pretty under powered compared to other classes in D&D 5th edition. When I told my party I would be playing as a ranger, the first thing my dungeon master said to me was "Why not just play a fighter?" My answer was, simply, RANGERS ARE COOL!
