MMORPGs
Maybe it was truncated out of existence. We first knew it as 'massively multiplayer online role-playing game'. Which was quite a mouthful, even for the most devout fans. Especially if you had to say it more than once in a conversation. So we did what any red blooded gamer geeks would do.. we acronym'd it to 'MMORPG'. Which was still rather cumbersome so we abbreviated it to 'MMOG', which just didn't sound quite right, so we hacked off the G and are now left with our final iteration, the 'MMO'.

The Best Dino to Farm Resources in Ark: Genesis Part 2
Robotic deer or a Star Wars AT-AT? None of the above. Tek Stryder is one of the creatures available in the expansion Genesis: Part 2 of the survival sandbox game ARK: Survival Evolved. These mechanical creatures come with two (out of 8 possible) different non-removable attachments, giving them a wide range of possible abilities. They were supposed to be conceived as robotic "workhorses", to clean toxins from the ground and harvest resources. Imagine getting on one of these and riding it around the stunning map of ARK Genesis!

Exiled to the Path
In the game Path of Exile, the player walks through a rich world of gods and monsters, wading through the remnants of at least 3 civilizations. The world centers on the continent of Wraeclast, a dark place of runaway magic. The magic, called Thaumaturgy, is a corrupting force that creates the creatures that the player must face to move through the world.

My Journey through Nostalgia
Burning Crusade Classic launches today as I’m writing this. Will I take my new Blood Elf Paladin to Outland? Probably not. Between my wife, daughter, and job, my video game time has shrunk drastically and is split widely. But I’m loving the remastering of video games! Maybe I’m alone in this, but as a kid I felt like I missed out on a lot of the defining moments of modern video game culture. While those moments may be gone its nice to be able to fire up my modern console or laptop and play something from 20 years ago. Also, now that I’m an adult, I enjoy completing games I once played and coming to a better understanding of the storylines. I find it fascinating that unlike books or movies, video games give us a chance to interact as much or as little with the story as we like.

Gpose in Final Fantasy XIV – A Basic Walk Through
Here’s a different take on photography. In this article I’ll be talking about in-game photography in one of my favorite games, Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV). Among the many things you can do in game, you can take screenshots of your character, your friends, the scenery, and any other combination. The feature in game is Group Pose, or gpose for short. I really enjoy doing gpose because it’s so similar to photography with picking what I want to capture, working with lighting, poses and emotes, and angles.
