The legend of the Caleuche
Maria grew up with her family in the south of Chile in Chiloe, a city full of legends and beautiful natural and green landscapes. Maria's family is dedicated to raising animals and selling what they produce. From a very young age, she learned the trade from her parents and from previous generations. She gets up first thing in the morning. She loves the sound of rooster crowing when the sun is rising. The first thing she does is milking the cows. Feed the horses, remove the eggs from the hens that are ready to eat, and prepare fresh bread, which a few hours later she would go to sell to the truckers who pass by at breakfast time wanting to eat something hot and fresh.

The Remnants
Elliot Gardner was a reversion expert: all his days in university on the space station Homeward had been leading up to the moment when he could begin recreating the past through the means of simulation and tech advances. His graduate project had been to provide a believable recreation of the 1920's prohibition era in America. Months of research, through all the databases available to him for study, culminated in a speak-easy environment with an added performance by one of the jazz singers of the time. The professors had given him high marks, nearly a perfect score, for all his attention to detail. It didn't matter that it wasn't exactly real; what counted was the atmosphere he was able to bring forth from archival materials ranging from photographs to videos.

A Ship on the (Event) Horizon
Log. Captain Davis, May 17, 2051 We're preparing final tests for the new black star drive. It's an odd piece of technology. Normally a human ship would never have the sufficient energy reserves to travel at high speeds through the galaxy. But scientists have come up with this drive as a solution.

The Last First Date
Equivalent Prime Date January 23, 2022 E-48976, IDCT-1675384 Well, I finally reached another Earth. I was beginning to think I would never find another one. Over ten thousand consecutive shifts before I woke up here. By far more than any other streak I have encountered. It is a very indescribable feeling to close your eyes, only to suddenly become existent in a wholly different way. Even after all these years, I do not think I will ever get accustomed to the phase shift of entering a new universe. Despite my eons worth of experience, I have not found the shifts any easier to cope with. I do not know if this universe has a god like some of the others, but it cannot hurt to thank Him or Her for creating this Earth. I will take the rest of the day to acquaint myself with this world and prepare for tomorrow, where at the very least I will get to see her. I can only hope she will be getting the Merlot.

Chronicles of Idukuria
Lima opened her eyes slowly. As if coming to the end of a dark tunnel, she began to feel her body again. I was cold inside of her pod. Had she felt this cold for years? For months? Interstellar Romance
The space station was a cold, drifting piece in the expanse of the stars. Renee observed the monitors that measured the outside elements and anything of note—though watching became a tedium after 141 days of the same slow-moving realm stretching out to infinity. As a former civilian, she had been trained on a mostly need-to-know basis; the different space missions that had erupted after the third world war had no lack of volunteers and field experts alike, but the lottery system at her tech company had been on her side in the end.

Cask Crusade
Cask Crusade Part One In a small southern hamlet bordering that great old wood, with trees who uproot and reclaim any newly trodden paths, a tavern sat upon the highest hill watching over its neighbours. As unremarkable as the village was in most regards, this one establishment had earned the respect of oath-sworn warriors and profiteering traders alike for the quality of its in-house ale, which was inferior to the Dynasties’ fine vintages but surpassed all expectations of a landlord’s craft. Through a near nationwide desire for this refreshing brew and a need to escape the crashing rain on this particular day, the alehouse was full and remained that way until the closing bell rang. Two bands of contrary individuals chose to ignore the bell that night in favour of further drinking. The first was a sorrowful pairing who drank to forget, and the other was a revelrous bunch who drank to remember. The regretful duo sat in solemn silence, the oldest between them was a great champion sworn to a local self-entitled regent. Accompanying him was his young apprentice, who only shared a fraction of her commander’s regret. He drank his fill more than an hour before the bell sounded but insisted on finishing the pint he had to hand. The younger soldier, however, had barely imbibed that night and still kept a clear head about her.

ALIE
Since 2025 ALIE had reduced the crime rate in America by 60%. Domestic Violence by 75%. Murder was almost at zero percent for the new gun law only allowed ALIE to have a destructive weapon and ALIE could not use it unless the 'other person or victim' had a seen gun.
