The Boston-Davos Five
The Boston-Davos Five (that's what the five of us call our little mini, unfunded, unofficial think tank) started meeting once a year after Davos. You know, the international conference on the environment. We were there three years ago, all of us grad students then, and we promised we would work together to make a difference. We aren't idealists, at least not completely. Pete's the most pragmatic, and also the quietest, V-necked sweater, glasses as thick as Coke bottles. He's a biology postdoc at MI-fricking-T.

He looked different, older somehow, especially with his hair specially styled for the role, his posture straighter. He looked, sharp, which was evident by the heads turning in his direction.

A Prince and his Pauper 6. Content Warning.
After that first performance, everything changed, everything just blew up around us. That first Friday night show was sold out, of course – as every opening night always seems to do – but there were seats available for the remaining five shows. The first of these was to be the following night, Saturday, then the following Friday and Saturday, then the Friday and Saturday after that. Six shows in all.

Right Instead of Left. Content Warning.
Vera usually kept quiet, but tonight Marigold’s elaborate fantasy of metamorphism into a mosquito made her erupt with laughter. Marigold had been interned on Serapis for stealing and consuming nearly a gallon of O-positive from a blood bank on Earth.
