To The Man in the Blue Truck
When I accidentally blew through a red light and you had to slam on your brakes to avoid hitting me, the gesture you gave me out the window and the curse words you threw my way–words that you deemed important enough to roll down your window to make sure I heard you scream at me–caused me to cry.

My Wife Gave Me A Snooze Job This Morning
I don't like mornings a whole lot. Never really have, and likely never really will. Ain't gonna lie. In fact, the first time I was ever considered a "morning person" is when I was 19 years old, in U.S. Army Bootcamp and had some mean as hell looking drill sergeant yelling at my tired brown butt to get outside for the morning run. So I was technically an unwilling participant in early morning routines that everyone says make you a better human.

What hurts more than the break-up?
Good 4 u by Olivia Rodrigo is on repeat and I've taken a break from checking to see if you've unfollowed me yet, to check if our photo's are still there - oops yep, you've archived them. Or deleted them. Who cares? I obviously do.

"Introductory Self"
The term "introductory self" is one that is rather new to me; I had never heard it until a few months ago, and it is something that has been on my mind quite frequently ever since, especially when meeting new people. My significant other used it to describe the person they were when I first met them versus the person they were at the time ("introductory self" versus "real self"), and she is still the only person I have ever met to use that term. In short, the "introductory self" is the side of a person that others see upon the first meeting, or, the best version of themselves.

COVID-19 is the nail in the coffin for the anti-vaccine movement
I’m an anti-anti-vaxxer, and I’m proud of it. My 9-year-old daughter is fully vaccinated. I never had any concerns that vaccines would “give” her autism. Why? Well, as anti-vax moms like to brag, I did my research. Starting from her birth in 2011, she got her shots on schedule, as recommended by experts. (I chose to ignore self-styled experts on the Internet who watch too many YouTube videos.)

Being with you and thinking about him
Leading a double life is not the fantasy that is shown in movies or love novels, it's hard work and very exhausting. I had always been curious what it would be like to have my partner and another man on the side... now that I've experienced it, I would never do it again. I've lost more than I bargained for, and more than I initially wanted to. I will start from the beginning, but it's a long story and I don't know if there are details I should disclose. For the integrity of the ones involved, I will be using fictional names, but the events in this confession are real.

Minimalism
Imma tell you right now; this tale wont be fancy, it wont be cute. Its full of angst and anxiety. I moved in with my boyfriend, oh excuse me "partner" is that better? A year and half ago. When my daughter and I moved in we had a car full of stuff and that is it. Partly due to extreme circumstances but mostly because I am ok not having a lot of stuff. Good thing since my...ahem...partner is the opposite.

That Time I Saw Something I Could Not Explain
When I was young, we lived near a highway life was hustling and bustling. I saw a bus wreck, hit-and-run, several trucks overturned and was awakened in the middle of the night countless times to broken down drivers needing to use the phone to get help all of this at the ripe old age of Six.
