Ranking Every Janet Jackson Album.
Janet Jackson is one of my favorite artists and it being 30 years since The “janet” album, I thought it would be fun to do a little ranking of all her albums. I listen to some more than others, but I’m pretty familiar with all of them. So let’s get into it as we sit and wait for “Black Diamonds” if she is even still calling it that. If and when it comes I’m sure it’ll be just as engaging and enjoyable as the rest of these are. I’m mad that I didn’t get to see her this year on tour, but that’s neither here nor there. This ranking is mine and mine only I’m not speaking for everyone else just fyi. And we start with…

Pigs
Introduction I am not sure what inspired this, but there are more than a few good songs about pigs. As a teenager, I worked on a farm and thought it was quite funny when the piglets tried to eat my toes through my wellies and we all love the film Babe, don't we?

The Gift of Our Aging Rock Stars. Top Story - November 2023.
Back in 1990 at OSU, I asked my roommate Beth if it would be okay to put a Depeche Mode poster up in our college dorm room. It was from the Violator tour, and had all four men crowded in: Martin Gore's blonde trademark curls, David's sexy pout. All had sunglasses on if I recall correctly. As it turned out, the poster was oversized and was more like wallpaper. One could look up at Taylor Tower from the side street and know that it was Depeche Mode. I told her I was sorry, but did she have a smaller Queensryche poster to hang up?

A Playlist Of My Birthday Number Ones
Introduction I was born in 1957 and the number one single at the time was the awful "Diana" by Paul Anka. Either side of that was "All Shook Up" by Elvis Presley and "That'll Be The Day" by Buddy Holly and the Crickets, both brilliant records but we have to start with that awful dirge.

Dimebag Darrell: A Loss Echoing Through Generations
The world of music has seen its fair share of tragic losses, but some deaths hit people harder than others. Dimebag Darrell, born Darrell Lance Abbott, was one of those iconic figures in the world of heavy metal who left an indelible mark on both the genre and its dedicated fanbase. His untimely death in 2004 struck a chord with fans and musicians alike, leaving a void that few celebrity deaths can rival.

A Devilish Playlist For Halloween And Bonfire Night. Top Story - October 2023. Content Warning.
Introduction This week we have Halloween on Tuesday and Bonfire Night on Sunday. I always think the Devil is given a bad rap. Think about it, in the Bible God is the one who punishes everyone and forces them to do terrible things, including the genocide caused by the flood. He cast out Adam and Eve because they tried to find things out, turned Lot's wife into salt, told Abraham to kill his son, and the list goes on.
