Red Footprints
Talking letters from the past covered his skin. They left red marks in the post-war world. The ancient armchair he sat in, the familiar hometown streets he walked, the grandchildren's ears wide open as he tossed stories like German bombs. Reached by the sleeves and held close forever in his memory.

Minimalism pays off
On vacation, Marc was used to it. Tickets were getting more expensive every year, so at least he could spare some shekels and improvise. Pasta, instant soups, breadsticks with sesame and olive oil, cheddar cheese thins, crispbread, tea and coffee pre-prepared in a tumbler. He had to respect money like the state government, even if the flush was to come later. But he couldn't know that now, could he?
