The UK's Voting Record
The forthcoming General Election here in the UK on 12th December 2019 is one of the most important this country has had to endure let alone suffer. Aren’t they all? BREXIT has dragged on for over three years without any sign of a conclusion. The political system is paralyzed. Put those two elements into a constitutional petrie dish and there is bound to be a growth of that most dangerous of political viruses; boredom.

Omar's Diary to 16th November 2019
The main event of the week was on Tuesday. Man Servant pressed a fresh shirt and trousers to make up two changes of wardrobe including boots and socks. These were packed into the “red thing” and the rush was on to get to the stables by ten for a photo shoot that Man Servant was partaking in with one of the equines.

What! No Angostura Bitters
A PERSONAL HISTORY All the bars I have worked in or been a customer of there has always been a bottle of Angostura Bitters, clearly visible, standing amongst the exotic liqueurs and spirits waiting to be alchemised into cocktails and speciality drinks. That is, all bars except one.

Omar's Diary to 25th October 2019
Lady and Man Servant were away on their travels on Monday and Tuesday of this week. They did manage to serve Mitsi and I breakfast on Monday morning before making a rather hurried departure in the ‘red thing.’ As it was such a nice day, I heard Man Servant suggest they could travel with the roof down. I think the journey to wherever they were going was rather silent.

Just 30 words attributed to John Cleese was enough to encourage me to look further into how protectionist international trade is. Is the international market for goods and services encased in protectionist policies? Are there any countries that are totally free of such policies? Or, are all countries guilty of protectionism?
