Into The Apriverse - A Mikeydred April Dollar Prompt For All Vocal Creators

Introduction

Every month, we set prompts in the Vocal Social Society. We offer a dollar tip to five random creators who take part and ask them to share their stories in the comments and on the thread in the group.

This is not official, and usually after each one I say that's it, but this is another time where I say, "No, let's have another prompt.

So What's Gonna Happen This Time?

Please write a poem using a formal structure, that can be a haiku, senryū (川柳), limerick, sonnet, villanelle, pantoum, but say what format you are using.

The theme being things related to the month of April, or use anything related for ideas.

You can combine April and anything else for your poem, or take one of the ideas on the link or list below

Here are a few April days which may inspire you:

• April 1 is All Fools’ Day—otherwise known as “April Fools’ Day.” Where did this silly day come from?
• April 1 also marks the beginning of Passover.
• April 3 is Good Friday. Learn more about Good Friday.
• Apr. 4 (first Saturday in April): International Pillow Fight Day
• April 5 is Easter Sunday. Did you know that Easter’s date is related to the full Moon?
• Apr. 6 (first Monday in April): Sweet Potato Day
• Apr. 7: National No Housework Day
• Apr. 10: Gopher Tortoise Day (Florida)
• Apr. 17: Blah, Blah, Blah Day
• April 22 is Earth Day. To celebrate, see some Earth Day ideas and activities.
• April 24 is the birthday of Robert B. Thomas, the founder of The Old Farmer’s Almanac!
• April 24 is also National Arbor Day. Find out who started Arbor Day and how we observe this day honoring trees.
• Apr. 26: National Richter Scale Day

I will write a poem or two myself and include them, but that won't be classed as an entry.
