THE SKY-PRISON COMMUTE: THE GREAT AMERICAN AIRPORT SHAKEDOWN

Project 2025’s Bold Plan to Turn Your Pre-Check into a Parole Hearing and Your TSA Agent into a Minimum-Wage Mercenary

The Great Airport Shakedown: A glimpse Into a Privatized Future Hellscape

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA — I am standing in a security line at Los Angeles International Airport, staring into the dead, glazed eyes of a man who has been screaming "LAPTOPS OUT" for six straight hours. Currently, he is a federal employee. He has a pension. He has health insurance. But if the ghouls behind Project 2025 have their way, this man is about to be "liberated". By liberated, I mean he’s about to be fired, stripped of his union card, and rehired at $18.00 an hour by a subsidiary of a private equity firm that also manages an "enhanced detention center" in the Mojave Desert, that's conveniently housing all the dangerous undocumented immigrants, and keeping "America Safe"... again.

Welcome to the New American Dream, folks. It’s a 20% "efficiency" cut that goes straight into the pockets of the Prison-Industrial Complex, while you—the captive, shoeless traveler—still pays the same $5.60 security fee to be barked at by a guy who hasn't had a bathroom break since the fiscal quarter started.

The Great "Savings" Swindle . The high-priests of the "Free Market" are chanting from their leather-bound policy papers. They promise a 15–20% reduction in costs. But here’s the kicker: We won’t see a dime of it. Our taxes aren't going down. The "savings" are just a fancy way of saying the government is moving the money from a "public service" bucket to a "private profit" bucket. And under the current administration, there's been an increase in the purchase of those "for profit private buckets".

It’s a beautiful shell game. We keep paying the taxes, the government keeps spending the money—mostly on new ways to blow up things in the desert—and the actual work of security gets outsourced to companies that view "human rights" as a pesky line-item expense. Where they are nixed, in favor of bottom-line profits.

Who gets screwed? Everyone with a pulse, but mostly the workers. The plan is simple: De-unionize immediately. Smash the collective bargaining. Turn a stable federal career into a "shift-work" nightmare. We’re talking about the "Dishwasher-ization" of Aviation Security. These private contractors—are vultures, right now, circling the carcass of the unpaid and dying TSA—and they want hourly workers who are too tired to complain and too broke to quit. No healthcare? No problem. No retirement? Don't worry, the market will provide!. (The market, in this case, is a 401(k) plan that’s 40% invested in the very company that’s underpaying you. It’s the Ouroboros of capitalism, eating its own tail until there’s nothing left but the teeth.)

The Lobbyists: Greasing the Revolving Door

This isn't just a spontaneous "good idea" from a think tank; it's a meticulously paid-for reality. The lobbying industry hit a record $5 billion in 2025, with the defense and "security" sectors leading the charge. Firms like Palantir Technologies have hired Trump-tied lobbying outfits like Miller Strategies to chase billions in government contracts, ensuring their software is the brain behind the new "efficient" checkpoints. Meanwhile, the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and massive coalitions of aviation stakeholders are leaning hard on Congress to "modernize" (which really means privatize) the system while federal workers endure pay-less shutdowns. It’s a "pay-to-play" circus where the tickets are bought with campaign contributions and the "prize" is your biometric data.

From the Cell Block to the Gate

And who are these "private partners"? Look no further than the titans of the Prison-Industrial Complex. The same corporations that have turned "human incarceration" into a booming stock-market success—like The GEO Group and CoreCivic—are now eyeing your carry-on luggage. The current Screening Partnership Program (SPP) already features a roster of private heavyweights like Covenant Aviation Security, Akal Security, and VMD Corp. These aren't mom-and-pop shops; they are multi-billion dollar entities like Leidos—which just scored a $2.6 billion contract to maintain TSA equipment through 2032—and GardaWorld (Aegis Defense Services) that have spent years mastering "efficient" detention at the border. Now, they’re bringing that same "brutally efficient" touch to Terminal 3. It’s a seamless transition: One day you’re guarding a private for-profit prison in Texas; the next, you’re frisking a grandmother from Des Moines because her hip replacement set off the magnetometer.

No Exit, No Choice

The beauty of the trap is that you have to take it. You can't boycott the sky. You have to get to that wedding in Denver or that meeting in Atlanta. You are a captive consumer. You will stand in the line, you will take off your belt, and you will surrender your dignity to a man who is one missed paycheck away from homelessness. We are all slaves to the cycle now. We invest our meager savings into the funds that lobby the politicians to privatize the services that employ our neighbors. We are paying for our own cages, and the boarding pass is just a temporary day-pass out of the cell. So, next time you’re at the airport, look at the person behind the plexiglass. Under Project 2025, they aren't your fellow citizen anymore. They’re a cost-center. And you? You’re just the cargo.

So, buckle up, America. Our descent into dystopian human identity and control, is going to be bumpy, and the pilot just got outsourced to an AI chatbot.

Yep, you got it. I am appalled at this crapola and the games Cheeto and his minions are playing. "It’s a 20% "efficiency" cut that goes straight into the pockets of the Prison-Industrial Complex" - TRUE. And apalling. "Under Project 2025, they aren't your fellow citizen anymore. They’re a cost-center. And you? You’re just the cargo." TRUE. Well done. #resist Keep pointing it out.
