Calling out my name, as ancestors did before,
a time filled with ruin and war.
A beg, a plea, a prayer,
their voices filled with despair
all wishing for their souls to be released.
I burn in the night sky
hearing all of their cries
and taking them as mine.
If I had wings, I would fly you all up from the torture
back to that place in time with the orchard
back to a time with no disorder.
But I am only part of the night,
a time where my fire is allowed to ignite.
Helpless to the cries,
I let my flames rise,
To the stars around, let them dream of a world better than the last,
to live a life not consumed of the past,
let there be a love that can everlast,
and as they look at us, the stars above who do listen,
inspire those dreams to be fulfilled.
