Perhaps the true meaning of "cherishing" between people is simply this: You listen to what I say; you feel what I give; and the efforts I make—even the ones you don't strictly need—you hold dear in your heart.

When you meet the right person, cherishing is simple: You are my steadfast choice, I am your ultimate preference, and we offer each other a lifetime of generosity.

Don't cling to relationships that leave you wounded. Let go of the person who dims your light, and you will find the chance to meet someone where you can illuminate one another.

Only two-way relationships are worth the effort.

A person who is unwilling to understand you, and who doesn't know how to cherish or give, will never be your true soulmate. You aren't looking for the "best" person, but someone willing to set aside their pride for you—someone eager to share their goodness with you.
