Love you

By MaKayla Published 2 years ago 2 min read

Sometimes it’s all too much.

So I have to sit down and think,

If I stand up, I’m seeing stars,

which away I have to blink.

Sometimes I get dizzy,

My mind goes in all different directions,

Like when you say “I love you”

I have to take a break from the overflowing affection.

When I get flustered I get dizzy.

And yeah sure my head starts to hurt,

But my hearts to flutter,

And I get to thinking,

“Why on Earth would you choose me above all others?”

So I have to sit down,

Keep my overflowing mind from going insane,

And it’s funny because you still have no idea,

The kind of things that you do to my brain.

I know,

Stupid schoolgirl crush,

But when they say “young love doesn’t exist”,

I blurt out “oh but it has to, it must”.

Because I might be mistaken.

But I think this is what love feels like,

It could be just an infatuation,

But I really hope that my thoughts are right.

Because when I look at you,

I only see the sky,

The stars and the moon brightening at my gaze,

And you’re more beautiful than all of it combined.

It’s funny,

Because I’ve said that before,

And all my friends seem to disagree,

But when it comes to you I only ever want more and more.

You’re like my own personal drug.

Which I promised I would never do,

And they might say it’s okay cause this one doesn’t hurt,

But they have no idea what it would feel like to lose you.

I mean neither do I,

Of course it hasn’t happened yet,

But when I feel little previews,

It definitely doesn’t put me at my best.

Because you are funny,

You’re kind and you’re smart.

And you’re worth more than money,

Well ever be worth on my part.

When you say anything,

My face turns red,

Because the sound of your voice is one of the many things about you that makes me smile not just outside,

but inside my head.

And when looking into your eyes,

There’s not a damn other thing in the world.

And I know this might be stupid but I’m only human,

I’m just a girl.
