I sobbed for weeks

I was Charlie

I was Fay

I was Algernon

I was… The Flowers

𓂃˖˳·˖ ִֶָ ⋆📖⋆ ִֶָ˖·˳˖𓂃 ִֶָ

Petals softly drifting on

The sopping tropical breeze

As I turned my cheek to the

Brisk cold of recognition

Snugly tucked in a box

Incinerated in the fires of

Anxious premonition

𓂃˖˳·˖ ִֶָ ⋆📖⋆ ִֶָ˖·˳˖𓂃 ִֶָ

No matter what is gained

Or what

Is lost

I will always bloom bright

On the flames tossed

𓂃˖˳·˖ ִֶָ ⋆📖⋆ ִֶָ˖·˳˖𓂃 ִֶָ

When I die

Don’t leave flowers

Which fade

From the moment

They’re ripped from

Their supple home of growth

Leave a book instead

Where life never ends

Send me to pages filled with

Agreeable people and

Romantic adventures

Where I might spend the

Rest of time
