I Stayed in a Water Villa with Jacuzzi & Slide – Here’s What It’s Really Like

Our honest day-by-day experience in a private overwater villa

By Maldives MomentsPublished about 2 hours ago 4 min read

The Maldives had always been somewhere we talked about visiting, but we didn’t want the trip to feel rushed or too planned. We just wanted a few days to properly switch off and spend time together.

Our stay at OZEN LIFE MAADHOO turned out to be exactly that—easy, calm, and genuinely relaxing.

Here’s how our days went, in the most natural way

Day 1 – Arrival & Slowing Down

The journey to the island was smoother than we expected.

After landing, everything was well organised, and before long we were on a speedboat heading towards the resort. That ride itself felt like the start of the holiday—just open water, fresh air, and a quiet sense of leaving everything behind.

When we walked into our water villa with a jacuzzi and slide, we both just paused.

It felt calm straight away. The space was bright, simple, and opened out directly onto the ocean. No noise, no distractions—just that endless view.

We didn’t plan anything for the rest of the day.

We unpacked slowly, stepped out onto the deck, and ended the evening in the Jacuzzi watching the sunset. It was quiet, simple, and exactly what we needed.

Day 2 – Easy Mornings & Something New

We woke up naturally, without alarms, which already felt like a luxury.

The morning was slow—coffee on the deck, watching the light on the water, and then a swim straight from the villa. That became a bit of a routine.

Later, we went snorkelling, and that was one of those moments that stays with you. The water was so clear, and areas like Fanna Giri and Point Thilla had plenty of marine life. It didn’t feel crowded or rushed—just calm and easy to enjoy.

In the evening, we had dinner at the underwater restaurant.

It’s one of those experiences you can’t really compare to anything else—sitting beneath the ocean, watching fish glide past while you eat. It was quiet, slightly surreal, but in a very peaceful way.

Day 3 – A Bit More Energy

This day had a slightly different pace.

We spent some time at HUDHU BAY, the beach club. It had a more relaxed, social feel compared to the villa, which was a nice change. We sat by the beach, took in the atmosphere, and just enjoyed being somewhere a bit more lively.

Later, we tried a few water activities.

There’s quite a bit to choose from—fun tube rides, banana boat, water skiing, wakeboarding, and more. We didn’t try everything, but it was nice to have the option when we felt like doing something a bit more active.

By evening, we were back to our usual pace—quiet time, sunset, and the Jacuzzi.

Day 4 – Slowing Down Again

After a slightly active day, we naturally slowed things down again.

We visited ELE | NA SPA, and that was probably one of the most relaxing parts of the trip. The setting itself was calm, and everything about the experience felt unhurried.

Later, we spent time at JOIE DE VIVRE, the poolside bar.

It was simple and easy—just sitting by the pool, having a drink, and not really thinking about anything. No plans, no schedule—just letting the day pass.

A Note on the Experience

Somewhere in the middle of the trip, we realised how much easier everything felt because we didn’t have to plan every detail. Experiences like this are why many people look for all-inclusive packages in the Maldives—it gives you the freedom to enjoy your time without constantly worrying about logistics or costs.

For us, it meant more time together and less time organising things.

Day 5 – Finding Our Rhythm

By now, we had fully settled into the rhythm of the island.

We spent more time in the water—swimming, snorkelling again, and just enjoying being close to the ocean. There are options like scuba diving and sport fishing too, but we were happy keeping things relaxed.

Honestly, we didn’t do much—and that’s what made it feel right.

Day 6 – Taking It All In

Our last day felt slower than all the others.

We didn’t plan anything. We just sat on the deck, had one last swim, and tried to take in the view properly.

It’s only when you’re about to leave that you realise how comfortable you’ve become in that calm environment.

Final Thoughts

Our stay at OZEN LIFE MAADHOO wasn’t about doing everything—it was about having the freedom to do what we felt like, when we felt like it.

Some days were active, some were slow, but nothing ever felt forced.

For us, it was about switching off, spending time together, and enjoying the simple moments.

And in the end, those are the ones you remember the most.

FAQs – Questions I Had Before Going

1. Is a Wind Villa with Jacuzzi & Slide actually worth it?

I genuinely wondered this before booking. After staying there, I’d say yes—it’s not just about how it looks, it’s about how it feels. Having your own space, direct ocean access, and even the slide makes the experience more relaxed and enjoyable.

2. What is included in THE INDULGENCE™ Plan at OZEN LIFE MAADHOO?

I was a bit confused about this at first, but it’s quite simple. It includes meals, drinks, transfers, and selected experiences, so you don’t have to keep planning or thinking about extra costs during your stay.

3. Is dining at an underwater restaurant really worth it?

I wasn’t sure if it would feel overhyped, but it turned out to be one of the most memorable parts of the trip. It’s calm, unique, and something you don’t experience very often.

4. Will I get bored staying on a resort island?

This was a real concern for me before going. But there’s a good mix of things to do—snorkelling, water sports, relaxing by the beach or pool—so you can choose how active or slow you want your days to be.

5. Are all-inclusive packages in the Maldives a good idea?

I kept thinking about this before booking. After the trip, I’d say yes—it makes everything much easier. You don’t have to worry about planning meals or tracking expenses, which lets you fully relax and enjoy the experience.
