The Photo Was Taken From Behind Her — But No One Was There Part 3
Every second she waited… the thing in the house got closer.

Claire couldn’t breathe.
Her eyes were locked on the screen.
The image kept changing.
Updating.
The hallway behind her grew darker.
Closer.
The angle shifted.
Whoever was taking the picture…
was moving.
Step by step.
Toward her.
Claire slowly raised her head.
Her body trembling.
Every instinct screaming at her to run.
But she didn’t.
She listened.
Nothing.
No footsteps.
No movement.
No sound at all.
And yet—
The picture changed again.
Closer.
Now she could see it.
A shadow.
Tall.
Still.
Standing just a few steps behind her.
Claire turned.
Fast.
Nothing.
The hallway was empty.
Exactly like before.
Her heart pounded violently.
“This isn’t real,” she whispered.
“It’s not real…”
The phone buzzed again.
Another update.
Claire forced herself to look.
This time—
The shadow was right behind her.
So close…
it should have been touching her.
Her stomach dropped.
Because in the picture—
The shadow had a face.
And it was smiling.
Claire slowly lifted her hand…
and touched the back of her neck.
Cold.
Not air.
Not empty.
Something…
was already there.
