I decided to watch music videos of songs i was obsessed with over the week. Here are my thoughts

SLOW DANCING by “V”

You know how you make up your own music video in your mind when you listen to a song?

With "Slow Dancing," I totally expected a romantic music video with two people swaying under some dim lights or on a beach at sunset. You know, classic slow dance vibes. But leave it to V to surprise me. The whole vibe of the music video was so chill and laid-back, way more than I thought. It felt like a warm, breezy day, with him just living his best life—no dramatic couple moments, no cliché dance scenes.

Instead of the slow dance I imagined, it was more like V took us on this vibey, aesthetic daydream. The visuals were artsy, and it felt like he was in his own world, just vibing out with nature and living in the moment. Honestly, that was even better.

The colors, the carefree energy, even the pacing felt like a vintage summer. It’s like, you’re watching it and it makes you want to slow down your own life a bit, take it easy, and just *be*. Definitely not what I expected, but in the best way possible.

Anyone else get Tyler the creator vibes from this video? I’m obsessed with his artistry and vision. Like i wanna live in his brain.

The whole video is such a trip, its odd but it gets you chained to the screen, you just want to see more.

From the beginning, I got this overwhelming sense of isolation and confusion that perfectly matches the song’s vibe. The whole aesthetic is so muted and minimal, with him wandering through all these wide-open, empty spaces. It’s like he’s physically showing what it feels like to be “lost,” both in his mind and in life.

And the colors! All those soft blues, grays, and whites give everything a dreamy, almost surreal look, like he’s stuck in some kind of limbo. It’s both beautiful and kind of haunting at the same time.

The video is surreal, almost dreamlike feel where you know there's so much happening internally even if everything looks calm on the surface. He isn't trying to tell a clear-cut story from point A to point B. The video focus on evoking a certain atmosphere with wide shots of open spaces, stark color contrasts, and simple but powerful imagery. He lets the visuals breathe, giving the us time to feel the mood rather than rushing us through a story.

This felt like watching a mini action movie with Suga leading a revolution.

The coolest things about Agust D in this music video for me is how he plays with his different personas. You’ve got this slick, suited-up version of him who’s got that cold, calculated energy—almost like a villain. Then, there’s the chaotic, rebellious side of Agust D, the one breaking the rules, smashing things up, and just not caring about the consequences. The way he shifts between these two feels so deliberate.

The strorytelling and Cenematography in this video is top tier. The acting is amazing too.

I loved the little smirk he did just right before he was killed, it’s like he was expecting someone to come and overthrow him eventually.

The commentary on capitalism,greed and abuse of power was chef kiss. At this point it’s not an August song if he isn’t coming for capitalism lol

I probably shouldn’t find this attractive but why did he look so good with the cigarette lol, my knees got a little weak.I thought I wasn’t into bad boys… and now I’m questioning *everything.* Like? Apparently, my type is "rebel with a mic" now. Thanks, Suga.

I remembered after watching the music video that this song is part of a trilogy and that makes sense because it felt like i was missing something while trying to make sense of the music video.

I would like to hear how ya’ll interpreted the video and what I might have missed in the comment.
